I am a visual artist from Santa Fe, New Mexico. I work in printmaking with a focus on lithography, woodcut, intaglio, and monotype often mixing these methods as a project evolves. Printmaking is a process based medium. I find that the processes often enhance a project in surprising and impactful ways which helps me develop my ideas further. My work revolves around my own spiritual investigation into what connects us rather than what separates us. Considering my own ingrained dualistic views, I study the nature of interconnectivity through personal observations and experiences, always considering how to visually represent these ideas. Much of my imagery focuses on the body as it is with our bodies that we engage with the world. I depict the physical form of my own body, those of my loved ones, and those found in the wilderness of New Mexico. These forms are most intimate to me and through representing what is personal, I engage with the viewer and create a bridge of shared experience. Visually capturing moments that touch my heart, I celebrate life and its complexities.
